We apologize for the delay in sending you a reply to your e-mail in May.
In reference to the inquiry sent to the Representation of the European Commission in Poland and the Regional Representation of the European Commission in Wrocław, we are sending a reply and information materials.
The Vehicle General Safety Regulation came into force on 6 July. It introduces a range of mandatory advanced driver assistant systems to improve road safety and establishes the legal framework for the approval of automated and fully driverless vehicles in the EU.
Based on the Vehicle General Safety Regulation the Commission is planning to adopt this summer technical rules for automated and connected vehicles, in particular focusing on automated vehicles replacing the driver on motorways (level 3 automation) and fully driverless vehicles like urban shuttles or robotaxis (level 4 automation).

Hi,
I attach the road signs from Wrocław (1st picture) and Warsaw (2nd and 3rd picture). I heard that the EU is working on allowing self-driving cars to use the European road system. Is it true? Can such cars understand these very complicated signs typical of Poland's roads?
