Proposal for a new train station in Pula, short platforms for the suburban train services operated by a DMU trainset
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
As an economist I looked at Pula, and I have found that the railway line is not in use, except for some rare trains. There are some unused tracks in the centre of Pula. If there were some useful tracks in the direction of the city centre of Pula, then the railway could probably function like in Europe, with more through trains from Buzet to Slovenia (only one railway connection by train daily exists currently).
I looked at the branch tracks in the centre of Pula- tracks already built and done, and I would suggest that the town authorities and some infrastructure provider would sign some agreement on the finishing of a new station, new terminus for the Pula centre- Vodnjan and Pula centre- Pazin train station trains that could go across the whole year.
Can You please decide for the new railway terminus in Pula, closer to the historical city centre? Is it possible to connect the rail station with the city centre by rail? Is it really that much money to add some one platform (for start) or two (for some more dense offer in the city area) platforms in the city centre? It would change a lot in the popularity of rail travel in the area.
Cheers,

P.S. What do you think about the link in Pula: Valica street (Konzum, Mima namjestaj) on the industrial branch of the railway- Pula centre train shuttle, that would go every 30 minutes as a suburban railway in Pula, for the whole year?
Cheers,
Adam
